    @honeydipper20 i would not put this table outdoors unless like you mentioned its kept in a covered porch. However a Cedar table would hold up well outdoors since it does not rot and is termite safe.

    @woodkissfurniture how thick do you usually make your tabletops? 8/4 or 4/4?

    @jdnaset this is regular 2x8 pine not exactly 8/4 since that is slightly larger than 1 1/2 inches thick while the 2x8 is 1 1/2 . long story short I plane them down a bit to get them straight and smooth. Depending on the boards it could be between 1 1/4 and 1 3/8 inches thick hope that helps.
